Lanyu: The local Yami people refer to this island as‘Pongso No Tao’ or ‘Island of the People’. Strangely, the same place is known to the Taiwanese as Lanyu (Orchid Island) only because of the flowers that are present here. Geologically speaking, it is a volcanic island that has massive scores of rainforests all over, with coral reefs surrounding the rocky coastline. In short, Lanyu is a tropical paradise, with something for everyone.
